Gotta Have Faith!

To receive everything God has for you, you have to stretch your FAITH.

One of my favorite stories from Joel Osteen’s Best Life Now is about a man who was travelling on a cruise ship across the Atlantic Ocean.

During the entire trip, he never ate in the dining room, instead, he ate cheese and crackers which he made baon. His reason was that he thought he’d have to pay for his meals. He had saved just enough money for the trip, and thought he didn’t have the extra for the meals. He didn’t know that all meals were included in the price of his ticket.

A fellow traveler grew curious about his actions and asked him why he always ate on his own and never with the others. It wasn’t until this fellow traveler pointed out to him that all meals were free that he realized how much he’d lost out on.

I've never been in a cruise, but according to what i have read that a cruise has a never-ending buffets. The meals are breakfast, lunch, merienda, cocktails, dinner and even midnight snacks. Most lamented the fact that they gained up weight because it was so hard to resist indulging. Can you imagine seeing and smelling all the foods and making do with just crackers simply because you didn't make the effort to know any better?
Joel Osteen says, "God has everything you need- joy, forgiveness, restoration, peace, healing, anything you need to live at your full potential. It's all waiting for you at God's banquet table, if you'll pull out your chair and take the place He has prepared for you. Best of all, the price has already been paid."

On the recent event of my life, I really trust God for everything. And surprisingly, He gave my heart desires. He has people lined up for us to make things perfectly fit and easy. It's also true that when other door closes, another door will open. I just need to fully trust Him and stretch my faith. As I write this, I'm overwhelmed of how amazing our Almighty One. He did things that make us happy and blessed.
Life is not always smooth sailing. Our faith is tested with trials but the key to have it come to pass is always to look at the brighter perspective. From all the reading I've been doing, I've observed that there's one message that Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer all share. Trials come because they help strengthen our faith. God doesn't want us to suffer, but He does want us to surrender everything and draw ever closer to Him.
Our Faith comes to light during moments of darkness in our life. It will serve as our flashlight, our north star or our compass to lead us into God's love and protection, and His loving guidance will see us through to better, more joyful days. All He asks is that we keep our eyes on Him.
